In general

As a self employed consultant, I offer my support in many areas of IT. System analaysis includes in addition to the analysis also consulting and support in the implementation.

My activities in the last years implied a wide range of different tasks, so I do not necessarily want to speak of a focal point. Mostly I’m involved with applications that run on Unix or Linux and have databases (Oracle or MySQL) as a basis. The client interface is e.g. based on J2EE, a web interface or anything else. All combinations are possible in an heterogenous environment.

In these environments I’m facing usually different tasks on the technical level. From general environment support to (further) development of scripts (bash, ksh, Perl, etc.) for small, but larger tasks, often automation / migration, etc., etc.

With the overview gained over the years I’m increasingly in roles, where you find “management” in the description: Configuration management, release management, project management, application management, incident management and so on, also tasks where system architecture is needed – or acting as team lead.

Rapid incorporation of new subjects, always remaining at the “cutting edge” with the basic topics, process oriented work, every time keeping the customer’s requirements in focus, etc. are as a matter of course in my work.
